Now available at Barkaways is this LHD 1959 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider 750 D, presented in exceptional condition having been completely restored in the early/mid 2010's by a specialist in Italy. Finished in white with a red leather interior, this beautiful early Alfa has covered a mere 2000 km since its restoration.
Alfa Romeo commissioned Pininfarina to design a convertible body for their successful Giulietta range before launching the two-seater Spider in 1955. The car is fitted with the correct 1290cc twin cam aluminium engine, as found on the saloon and coupe models, and single Solex carburettor. Chassis 06043 is one of the later short-wheelbase Tipo 750 cars, before the transition to the updated 101 Series.
The car was sold new in Italy where it has spent most of its life, before being imported to the UK in 2016. We have completed a thorough inspection and recently fitted a new distributor with electronic ignition and a new master cylinder with new wheel cylinders. Specialist repairs have also been completed on the alternator and fuel pump.
This lightweight Giulietta Spider is a joy to drive and is ready to be enjoyed by its new owner.
