Originally manufactured in 1977, chassis number 9117301478 started life as a 911 Lux. It passed through five sets of hands before being placed in storage by Porsche Centre Guildford. Then, selected by PCO as the foundation of its “911 50” project car, the shell was completely stripped, sandblasted, repaired and repainted before assembly with the best parts from the Porsche stores and key bespoke parts.
The original 2.7 litre engine was replaced with a fully rebuilt and tuned 993 3.6 engine. An RSR 5 speed race gearbox was fitted to complement it. Initially upgraded to a Wolf Engine Management System, during ongoing development with PCO to date, it has been subsequently further upgraded to a Life Racing Engine Management System now producing 320 BHP.
This unique 1 of 1, “911 50”, represents an incredible opportunity to purchase a 911 expertly modified by Porsche Central Operations. Lighter, more dynamic and original than a Singer or Guntherworks tribute. It has been crafted by Porsche’s own staff, with a passion for iconic 911s, to be the best of the best - the ultimate air cooled 911.
