We recently came across a Ferrari 330 GTC looking a bit tired but on closer inspection proved to be an exceptional find.
Whilst researching the history of the car it was confirmed that it is in fact an original matching number car with some history showing that it has spent most of its life in America.
Mechanically the car runs and drives well but the paintwork is poor in places. The body however is in exceptional condition showing very little sign of corrosion due to the warm American climate.
The car now has a new UK owner and the restoration team at Barkaways are helping the customer through various options regarding how best to tackle this project to suit the customer's requirements.
October 2012 -
Our client and the team have now agreed on commencing a full restoration of this car at Barkaways. The car has been completely stripped down to a bare shell and as I write this it is now on its way to the soda blasters to remove the old paint. The team are inspecting the stripped parts for damage and they will make a decision on what needs refurbishment.
The engine has been removed and steam cleaned and is awaiting a rebuild.
