This beautifully restored Ferrari 246 GT Dino has been part of the McGlone family since 1986.
Martin McGlone, an avid racer, campaigned both Aston Martin and Ferrari marks throughout the 60’s and 70’s. The Dino was very much part of this racing stable. During a hill climb the little Ferrari Dino suffered a gear box failure and was subsequently laid up.
Martin, always up for a challenge partly stripped the car but it lay in pieces until 2015 when he then decided to commission Barkaways to look into bringing the car back to life.
After two years of gathering pieces Martin chose to respray the car in period Grigio Notte with a red leather interior.
Tragically Martin lost his battle with cancer towards the end of the restoration. The team at Barkaways worked with the family to finish the car and deliver Martin's wishes.
The family proudly presented the car as part of Salon Privé 2017 in memory of Martin.
