During June the final body colour was confirmed by the customer as Rosso Chiaro. Following final body preparation, degreasing and masking the the bodyshell was painted with 4 coats of solvent based red base coat followed by 4 coats of clear coat lacquer. Once oven dry we flat and polished the body to a show finish. Work in July consisted of flat polishing of all body panels, the fitment and sealing of engine compartment closing panel to passengers compartment along with fitting and sealing the boot floor. Work then continued with preparation inside the bonnet, boot and engine lid ready for them to be painted. The car was then prepared ready for fibre glass wheel arches and required panels bonded in place. Paintwork where required was masked and paint applied to underside of boot lid, bonnet, engine cover and body shuts.
