246 Dino Restoration - Glass Fitted
The Dino restoration continued with aligning and fitting the door glass and frames.In preparation for fitment of the rear screen glass this was unwrapped and inspected a blemish was found in the glass and having tried to remove this with cleaning compounds and being unsuccessful, specialist polishing was required.
The radiator was cleaned, prepped, painted and the fan switch removed allowing a new copper washer to be fitted before securing the radiator in the vehicle.
With regards to the braking system the front and rear discs were cleaned and refurbished and new brake pads fitted. Fabrication of copper brake pipes and unions was carried out and routed/secured to vehicle chassis. Brake pipes were routed to the master cylinder from the front brake circuit and also along the chassis tube to the rear braking system.
Electrical work consisted of fabricating two new indicator bulb holders, lengthening the wires to the heater snail fans, fitment of rear indicator and tail lights, fitment of cooling fans, further work on the fuse board consisted of wiring in the relays and fitment of a battery isolator switch.
Both door lock barrels were fitted with new spacers and securing nuts spacers required filing down to ensure they sat flush to the door and were in keeping with original design and finish.
