308 GTB Restoration
August saw Steve ramp up the restoration of this 1970s icon. Major metal work repairs to the main body included work on rear bumpers, panels, doors, wings and wheel arches.
Many parts have been fabricated and welded into place to create straight lines and to realign the original body. The whole body has had corrosion stripped and areas fabricated and replaced. The body has undergone flat sanding with levellers and primers applied; this followed by 3 coats of undercoat and 2 of sealer.
The body has dried and sanding has continued throughout September to refine the body, doors, bonnet and boot gaps. The body is due to have a final undercoat before the topcoat body colour can be applied.
