308GT4 Work Progresses
The team have started bringing this car back to life, so far they have removed all four corners of the suspension and the overhaul will include; new front shock absorbers, new road springs and all new suspension - wishbones & bushes as well as new brake disc and pads. All parts will be powder coated and plated before being refitted.
Work is also on going in the engine bay, where new cambelts, tensioners and idler bearings have all been replaced. The water pump housing has been removed and overhauled due to corrosion on the hose fittings. Cam covers have also been removed and have been sent for specialist refinishing and all perished coolant and fuel hoses have also been replaced.
Both fuel tanks have been removed due to the usual problem on GT4s of corrosion at the base of the tanks. Keep a look out on the website for the progress on this iconic 70s Supercar as it is prepared for a new owner.
