330GTC Restoration - November 2012
During November we finally managed to free off and remove the remaining cylinder head. On inspection we found the valve guides to have excessive movement and recommend all are replaced.
We have started overhauling the many components that have been previously removed from the car prior to it going the media blasters. We found a number of issues with the wiring loom. We have laid the complete loom out and cut out the burnt and poor wires and replaced whilst maintaining the original colour cables. We have repaired switches and replaced loom terminals and insulation as required.
The new loom has then been re-sleeved and wrapped as original.
In addition to wiring components we have started to overhaul many of the mechanical items such as heater boxes, matrix units, fan motors, housing, pedal box and fittings.
The steering box and idler units have also received new bearings and seals.
The coolant radiator and heater matrix units have been sent away for specialist overhauling and to be repainted satin black.
