It has been all about celebrating the cars this past week at Barkaways as we unveiled our latest restoration at the annual Salon Privé Concours d'Elégance at Blenheim Palace.
The Ferrari 195 Inter was entered in the Post-War Closed (European) class and the owner was over the moon to see and drive the finished car for the first time. After being in single ownership for 30 years, this unique car was purchased by the current owner in 2018 who enlisted Barkaways to carry out a complete bare metal restoration on the car. Taking it back to its originally documented colour of white, the rest of the car was a subtle blend of preservation and restoration to maintain the originality of the car.
A concours class full of incredible cars saw the 195 finish class runner up, behind a very special Alfa 6C 2500 SS Villa d'Este Coupé, also from 1950.

A fantastic few days also saw another customer of ours have a sensational result with their '63 Alfa 101 Giulia Spider, restored by Barkaways. Ian hosted the car as it entered the Concours in the Pininfarina Design class this year. Amidst some fierce competition including beautiful Ferraris such as the 275 GTS and 330 GTS, the baby blue Alfa won the class.
Behind the scenes the team were busy providing the official tour and concours support for the event. Their expertise kept a wide variety of classic and supercars running throughout the week, including the most famous of cars - a Ferrari 250 GTO.
