Ian and Andrea were lucky enough to visit the 2019 Chantilly Concours d’Elegance over the weekend 28-30th June. This prestigious event is held at the beautiful Château de Chantilly which sits in surrounding countryside some 50km north of Paris. There were several notable anniversaries being celebrated over the weekend; Bentleys Centenary, Bugatti’s 110th, Porsche 917 celebrating its 50th and Pagani Zonda’s 20th to name just a few. There were also a total of nine concept cars being displayed affording a tantalising glimpse as to the shape of driving in the future. Mark Sumpter, of Paragon Porsche and also a Barkaways customer was enjoying the event with his fabulous Porsche 996 GT1 proudly on display. In addition to the cars it was very much a family day out with pedalos on the lake, fairground stalls, entertainers, horses from the Great Stables performing and an opportunity to visit the Naked Mona Lisa exhibition. The best in show over the weekend was awarded to the very rare and rather special McLaren F1 GTR Longtail.
