Ian joined fellow Ferrari Club members at the annual Chiltern-Hunt picnic in Flaunden, Herts. Rather than drive his own car to the picnic, Ian manoeuvred the 7m covered Barkaway trailer through the leafy lanes of Hertfordshire so he could add an interesting conversation piece into the Ferrari mix; taking along the shell of a 1979 308GTB currently undergoing a full restoration at Barkaways. Derek Seymour from the Prancing Horse Register enjoyed demonstrating the lack of floor in the 308GTB 'Fred Flintstone' style. Many people commented that it was a refreshing change to see someone committed to completing a sympathetic restoration on such a classic car from this era. Even though it wasnt a sunny spring day around 150 owners and enthusiasts filled the grounds with up to 60 Ferraris on show for all to see.
