During February work has been on-going removing the remaining parts of the carpets and glass with particular care removing the heated rear screen glass. We had to sacrifice the rubber to preserve the glass but saving the original glass was paramount. Whilst the valve guides were being replaced in the cylinder heads we found that some of the valves stems had worn unevenly. As a result we have replaced all inlet & exhaust valves in both heads and the new valve guides have been reamed to a matched fit. We have acid washed and steam cleaned both heads and refinished. The suspension components have been cleaned and are now ready to be sent away for specialist re-plating and refinishing.
