The Barkaways team made their way over to the Auto Italia Italian Car Day on Saturday 4th May, held at the iconic Brooklands track. This year we decided to do things slightly differently and instead of being based in front of the famous clock tower we took a spot in the main Ferrari parking area which enabled us to mingle far more and get round the show meeting customers old, new and potential.

Ian and Ben took to the track in Ian's silver 355 GTS which is always a crowd pleaser. The exhaust and induction has been modified somewhat and the car could be heard across the entire site and above even the Lamborghini's. Ian managed to get a total of 12 laps which provided the ideal opportunity to stretch the 355's legs following its run over to Spa in Belgium last week. The weather was fair throughout the day resulting in a great turn out of cars on the day.

If you have never taken the time to attend this event then it may be an idea to mark it in the diary for next year - its a great day out with an eclectic and exotic mix of Italian cars - some of which you will struggle to see anywhere else.
