It has been another successful year for Barkaways and their customers at the annual Salon Privé event - the UK's most prestigious Concours d'Elégance.
We supported two of our customers this year, as we unveiled the concours restorations of their cars. Having been stripped down and rebuilt from the ground up to the highest level that we are known for at Barkaways, we were delighted to show the finished articles off at this year's Salon Privé amidst the beautiful backdrop of Blenheim Palace.
The 1964 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso was part of the 'Passione Ferrari' class, whilst the 1973 Ferrari 246 GTS Dino was in the 'Post-War Touring (Open)' class. After the meticulous judging process the result couldn't have been better with both cars winning their respective classes amid some tough competition.
The following 'Ladies' Day' it got even better for the Lusso as it was shortlisted for 'Best of Show'. The award went to a 1931 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Zagato Spider, whilst the runner up was a 1949 Ferrari 166 MM Touring Barchetta. Two stunning cars with lots of history behind them, with the Lusso securing its second award of 'Third Place to Best of Show'.
Congratulations to our customers and their cars, whilst thanks go to the team as we were once again the official tour and concours support of the event.
Barkaways have been winning awards on the concours lawns for a decade now as the quality, passion and attention to detail in our restorations doesn't go unnoticed, so if you are a classic car owner looking to bring your car to the very highest level get in touch with the team.
