Saturday 2nd June 2018 saw the running of the Barkaways Ferrari Tour, the second in what we plan to be an annual event for our clients and customers.
The day started with beautiful sunshine, coffee and pastries – with all participants arriving well ahead of schedule. A prompt briefing ensured all of the cars were on the road by 10 AM.
Three groups, including a 365 BB, 512 BB, 348, 308, several 360’s an F430, three Dino’s, a testarossa and one Miura set off in ten minute intervals making their way across Sevenoaks, the Ashdown Forest and down to Lewes. A lead car was assigned per group but all those taking part were also afforded a bespoke road book produced specifically for the 2018 Tour.
From the half way point in Lewes groups made their way back across the Kent countryside to Matfield for secure parking and lunch served at the Poet. We were also lucky enough to be afforded private parking and access to the team at the Supercar paint protection company based in the old Fire Station building across the road from the Poet.
With fantastic weather and clear roads, all agreed that the Tour was an absolute success, an opportunity to meet with likeminded individuals and a chance for owners to simply enjoy their Ferrari.
