Imported into the USA in 1967 but unregistered with delivery mileage, Malcom Konner is approached by Marty Schorr, editor of “Hi-Performance CARS”. Schorr wishes to buy the vehicle but requests purchasing new through Baldwin Chevrolet, NY.

Baldwin Chevrolet sell Schorr Grifo #47 on the 31^st March 1969. Schorr has the car delivered to Joel Rosen at Motion Performance where an aluminum Edelbrock manifold and Holley four-barrel carburetor are fitted to the original Chevrolet 327 engine.

Late 1969, Schorr along with Joel Rosen and Zora Arkus-Duntov, then Head of the Corvette programme at General Motors, discuss the Grifo and the new more powerful LT1 Chevrolet Corvette engine.

Excited by the prospect, Arkus-Duntov sends a complimentary brand new LT1 engine to Motion Performance for installation in the Grifo.

Rosen fits the engine along with Corvette hydraulic lifter cam and valve train along with the Edelbrock manifold and Holley carburetor. A one off ‘MOTION’ plaque is positioned in the engine bay to clearly identify the model.

In March 2013 and after nearly 45 years with its first registered keeper, the car was purchased by the second owner in the UK.

In 2015 he commissioned Barkaways to carry out a full and comprehensive restoration of *GL630047*. The objective was to restore the car to absolute Concours standard and return the car to its original Baldwin Motion specification, thus presenting this 1966 Iso Grifo Baldwin-Motion 350/370 LT1 as new condition.

As a result this stunning one off car was completely stripped back to bare metal. Works included a major engine rebuild, along with all associated mechanical components including brakes and suspension. The car has been repainted in Rosso Monza and trimmed to factory specification in black hide.
