Daytona 365 GTB/4 Restoration Update
During December work has continued with the mechanicals and assembly side of the restoration.
Work continued on the braking system and the fabrication of new brake pipes.
The air horn compressor was fitted and secured before a new earth lead was made up due to the existing one not being sufficient.
In order to check the condition and operation of the steering idler this was stripped down, the shaft removed and the internals checked. All existing grease was removed from the centre of the shaft and the housing painted before refitting all components.
The steering box was repacked with grease and the box itself cleaned and prepped before being painted in satin black.
Following the fitment of underlay both fuel tanks were fitted along with their securing bars and all breather hoses connected before running and routing a length of fuel hose from front to rear of vehicle.
